Chewy Granola Bars

  1. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, peanut butter, corn syrup, butter and vanilla.
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients; add to the peanut butter mixture and stir to coat.
  3. Press into two greased 13-in.
  4. x 9-in.
  5. baking pans.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Dont overbake or they will get crispy.
  8. When they come out of the oven, run a knife around the edges to loosen them from the pan a little.
  9. Cool on wire racks.
  10. Cut into bars.
  11. Yield: 3 dozen.
  12. I individually wrap them in Saran wrap and store them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.
  13. That makes it easy to grab one at a time for lunches, etc.
