Clean Eating Sloppy Joes
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Medium Carrot, Peeled And Diced
- 1 Celery Stalk, Diced
- 1 Small Red Pepper, Diced
- 1 pound Ground Beef, Organic And Grass-fed Recommended
- 1 Tablespoon Steak Seasoning
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
- 15 ounces, weight Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- Whole Wheat Buns, Toasted, To Serve
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add oil and carrot, celery and red pepper to pan.
- Cook and stir until veggies are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef, steak seasoning, and honey to pan and combine.
- When meat has browned, add vinegar, tomato sauce, and tomato paste.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook mixture 1520 minutes, or until desired consistency.
- Serve on toasted whole wheat buns.
