Spice Cream Pudding With Satin Sauce
- 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1 cup sour milk
- 3 tablespoons meltd butter
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup molasses
- 12 cup sifted flour
- 12 teaspoon . salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 18 teaspoon clove
- 12 cup raisins, floured
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 34 cup molasses
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- PUDDING: Combine bread crumbs and milk and mix with butter, sugar and molasses.
- Sift together the dry ingredients and stir.
- Blend raisins.
- Pour in 1 quart casserole.
- Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
- Serve hot with Satin Sauce.
- SATIN SAUCE: Beat egg and water in a saucepan until foamy.
- Stir in molasses and salt.
- Cook over low heat 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and vanilla.
- Serve hot.
