Barbecue Sauce For Hot Dogs Recipe
- 1 jar (7.75-ounce) Junior peach cobbler
- 1/3 c. Catsup
- 1/3 c. Vinegar
- 1/3 c. Brown sugar, packed
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp Ginger, grnd
- 1/4 tsp Mace, grnd
- 1 tsp Onion salt
- NOTE: If the baby food is not available, you could use the same amount of finely minced peaches, if canned, well liquid removed before chopping.
- Combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Core the warm dogs diagonally on three sides.
- Barbecue basting with the sauce about three times while they are cooking.
- You can also use this on pork or possibly chicken or possibly the heated sauce in a chafing dish with sliced warm dogs.
- Makes about 1 1/2 c. of sauce,
- (sufficient for 2 lbs of warm dogs).
