Doughnut Holes
- 12 cup milk
- 14 cup Crisco
- 1 egg
- 14 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 13 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 14 teaspoons instant yeast
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon poppy seed
- Heat the milk and shortening in a microwave safe bowl until the shortening melts, about one minute.
- Cool to about 115F.
- Stir in the egg, sour cream, and vanilla.
- Combine the flour, yeast, salt, sugar, and poppy seeds in a medium bowl.
- Stir in the warm milk mixture.
- Stir about two minutes, cover with plastic wrap and let stand 35 to 45 minutes.
- Spoon the dough into the wells of a doughnut hole make, about half full.
- Bake until the tester comes out clean.
- Serve warm with Cinnamon Honey Butter.
