Crosby Molasses Devil's Food Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375F and grease/flour two 8" round cake pans.
  2. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually.
  3. Add baking soda, salt and vanilla.
  4. Mix in molasses and melted chocolate.
  5. Beat in eggs.
  6. Blend in flour alternately with sour milk.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes in prepared pans.
  8. Cool.
  9. Frost with the frosting of your choice.
