Chicken Chop Suey Recipe

  1. Heat shortening in pan till very warm; add in chicken and salt.
  2. Saute/fry for 2 min.
  3. To this add in 1 tsp.
  4. soy sauce; add in vegetables.
  5. Stir and cook for 3 min.
  6. Add in 1/3 c. water; cover and cook for 3 min.
  7. Now make your gravy by mixing 1 tsp.
  8. cornstarch and 1 tsp.
  9. soy sauce to remainder of water; add in to chop suey and stir till gravy reaches desired consistency.
  10. Serve with steaming warm rice.
  11. Serves 4-5 people.
  12. Entire recipe should be cooked over high flame.
  13. Variations: Pork, beef, shrimp, mushrooms etc.
  14. can be substituted for the chicken.
