Caramel Apple Pudding
- 3 cups milk
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 25 KRAFT Caramel Apple caramels (about 1/2 of 14 oz. package)
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts (optional)
- Stir milk into cornstarch in medium saucepan.
- Add caramels.
- Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until caramels are melted, stirring frequently.
- Remove 1/2 of the caramel mixture; whisk into eggs in small bowl until well blended.
- Add to remaining caramel mixture in saucepan.
- Cook over medium high heat 2 to 3 minutes; whisk constantly until mixture just begins to boil.
- Remove from heat; stir in butter.
- Cover surface of pudding with plastic wrap; cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Spoon pudding into serving bowls; sprinkle with walnuts.
