Caramel Apple Pudding

  1. Stir milk into cornstarch in medium saucepan.
  2. Add caramels.
  3. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until caramels are melted, stirring frequently.
  4. Remove 1/2 of the caramel mixture; whisk into eggs in small bowl until well blended.
  5. Add to remaining caramel mixture in saucepan.
  6. Cook over medium high heat 2 to 3 minutes; whisk constantly until mixture just begins to boil.
  7. Remove from heat; stir in butter.
  8. Cover surface of pudding with plastic wrap; cool to room temperature.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  10. Spoon pudding into serving bowls; sprinkle with walnuts.
