Bavarian-style wine kraut Recipe Calstanhope

  1. In a Dutch oven, saute the onion in the fat until it is soft.
  2. Add the sauerkraut, sugar, caraway seed, stock and wine, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer until all the liquid is evaporated.
  4. Serve hot.
