Canadian Living Cooks' Homemade Tomato Sauce Recipe
- 2 x 28 ounce cans plum tomato
- 8 sprg fresh Italian parsley
- 4 x leaves fresh basil
- 2 clv garlic
- 1 x onion, halved
- 1/4 c. extra virgin extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. dry oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp warm pepper flakes
- In a blender, puree tomatoes till smooth; pour into saucepan.
- Add in parsley, basil, garlic, onion, oil, oregano, salt and warm pepper flakes; bring to boil.
- Cover partially and simmer for about 2 hrs or possibly till thickened.
