Italian Style Meat Loaf
- 1 (10 ounce) cancampbell's condensed tomato with basil and oregano soup
- 14 cup water
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 12 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg, beaten
- Combine soup and water in a small saucepan.
- Spread 1/4 cup mixture over base of loaf pan; set remainder aside.
- Combine beef, rolled oats, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce and egg in large bowl.
- Press mixture into 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 -inch loaf pan.
- Bake in preheated 350F oven until beef is cooked through - 50 minutes to 1 hour; let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
- Heat reserved soup mixture to boil, stirring often,.
- Simmer 2 minutes and spoon over meat loaf slices.
