Potato Dumplings with Sweet & Savory Sauce

  1. Peel and cut up the potato.
  2. Put in a heatproof bowl, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Mash the potatoes while they are piping hot.
  4. Add katakuriko and mix and knead well with a pestle until you have a smooth dough.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 portions, and form each portion into a flattened ball.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan and pan fry the dumplings until browned on both sides.
  7. Add the combined ingredients, coat the dumplings with the sauce, and it's done.
