Mac and Cheese Tuna Casserole
- 2 pkg. (225 g each) Kraft Dinner Macaroni and Cheese
- 1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 small onion, quartered
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 2 cans (170 g each) white tuna in water, drained, flaked
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 1/2 cup chopped drained roasted red peppers
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups Cracker Barrel Shredded Tex Mex Cheese, divided
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Prepare Kraft Dinners in large saucepan as directed on package.
- Meanwhile, blend next 3 ingredients in blender until smooth; spoon 1/2 cup into 3-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Combine remaining tomato sauce with tuna, peas and red peppers.
- Add egg and 1/2 cup shredded cheese to prepared Dinners; mix well.
- Spoon 1/3 of the Dinner mixture over tomato sauce in casserole dish; top with layers of half the tuna mixture and 1/2 cup of the remaining shredded cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Cover with remaining Dinner mixture.
- Bake 30 min.
- Top with remaining shredded cheese; bake 5 min.
- or until melted.
- Let stand 5 min.
- before serving.
