Grandmom's Squash Casserole
- 3 squash, sliced
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 14 cup onion, finely chopped
- salt and pepper
- 1 12 tablespoons sugar
- 12 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Ritz cracker, crushed
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Boil squash about 15 minutes, or until tender.
- Drain.
- Add milk, butter, egg, onion, salt, pepper, and sugar to the squash.
- Mix well.
- Pour mixture into a 9x9 or 8x8 casserole dish.
- Sprinkle cheese and then crackers on top of casserole.
- Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
