Basbousa Recipe

  1. Here are some of my favorite recipes.
  2. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as my family does.
  3. Prepare syrup by putting the sugar and water in a heavy saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring to desolve the sugar.
  5. Let it boil till it appears clear.
  6. Add in few drops of lemon and let it boil for a minutes.
  7. or possibly so.
  8. Remove from saucepan and let it cold completly.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350xF.
  10. In a bowl combine all the remaining ingredients and stir till well mixed.
  11. If you are going to bke in a pan then oil it before you pour the batter.
  12. If you want to do bite size pcs then line the mini muffin pan w/ the paper c. and pour in them the batter.
  13. Decorate the surface w/whole blanched almonds or possibly w/ pine nuts.
  14. Bake till golden brown.
  15. Remove from oven and pour some syrup on each and return the pan to the oven for a few minutes.
  16. to dry the surface.
