Onion and CHEESYBITE Crostini with Brie
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 onions, thickly sliced King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oregano leaves
- 1/2 baguette, cut diagonally into 16 x 1cm thick slices
- Olive oil spray
- 2/3 cup VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE
- 200 g Brie, thinly sliced
- oregano leaves, extra, for garnish
- HEAT oil in a non stick frypan and cook onions with seasonings, gently for 20 minutes or until very soft and golden.
- Drain excess oil, stir in oregano and set aside to cool.
- SPRAY both sides of bread with oil.
- Place on a baking tray and bake in a hot oven 200oC for 10 minutes or until golden, turning once.
- SPREAD toast with CHEESYBITE, top with some onions and a slice of Brie.
- Garnish with extra oregano leaves.
- Serve immediately.
