Green Bay Packer Game Day Brats
- 6 fully cooked bratwurst (1 to 1 1/4 pounds)
- 3/4 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
- 6 tbsp or more French salad dressing
- 6 tbsp or more shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 6 brat buns, split
- Make a lengthwise slit three fourths of the way through each bratwurst to within 1/2 inch of each end.
- Fill with sauerkraut.
- Top with dressing and cheese.
- Place bratwurst in buns.
- Wrap individually in a double thick piece of heavy duty aluminum foil (about 12 inches square).
- Grill, covered, over medium hot heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
- *You can also use this recipe with fully cooked Italian sausages.
