Grape Jelly

  1. STEM and thoroughly crush 3 qts grapes.
  2. Place in a large saucepan.
  3. ADD water.
  4. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
  5. Place in jelly cloth or bag and squeeze out juice.
  6. MEASURE prepared juice into a large saucepan.
  7. ADD sugar to juice and mix well.
  8. PLACE saucepan over high heat.
  9. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. IMMEDIATELY stir in liquid fruit pectin.
  12. SKIM if necessary.
  13. POUR quickly into warm, sterilized jars filling up to 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) from rim.
  14. SEAL while hot with warm sterilized 2-piece lids with new centers.
