Chicken and Honey Dog Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 325F (165C).
  2. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water.
  3. Add egg, broth, honey, and garlic.
  4. Gradually blend in the flour and cracked wheat.
  5. Add enough wheat flour to form a stiff dough.
  6. Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth (about 3-5 minutes).
  7. Shape the dough into a ball and roll to 1/4-inch (6 mm) thick.
  8. Using bone-shaped cookie cutters, cut out biscuits.
  9. Place on ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 1/4-inch (6 mm) apart.
  10. Gather up the scraps, roll out again, and cut additional biscuits.
  11. Bake for 45 minutes.
  12. Let cool overnight.
