Easy Southwest Tostadas
- 1 pound ground turkey or lean ground beef
- 2 cups refrigerated fresh salsa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 tostada shells
- 6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli Pepper Jack Cheese
- 1 large avocado, peeled, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Chopped fresh cilantro, if desired
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Cook ground turkey in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until no longer pink.
- Add 1 cup salsa, salt and pepper; mix well.
- Continue cooking 1-2 minutes or until heated through.
- Place tostada shells onto large ungreased baking sheet.
- Top each with 1 slice cheese.
- Bake 1-2 minutes or until cheese just begins to melt.
- Place baked shells onto large serving plate.
- Top each with 1/2 cup turkey mixture.
- Evenly divide avocado, lettuce and sour cream among tostadas.
- Sprinkle with cilantro, if desired.
- Serve with remaining salsa.
