Broccoli Cardinale Recipe

  1. Saute/fry onions in 4 Tbsp.
  2. butter, about 5 min.
  3. In another saucepan heat remaining butter, blend in flour.
  4. Add in cream and catsup, stirring constantly till it thickens.
  5. Add in salt.
  6. pepper.
  7. Tabasco sauce and lemon juice.
  8. Flame brandy; stir into sauce.
  9. Combine contents for both pans; add in shrimp and stir.
  10. Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain.
  11. Place in a greased casserole and pour sauce over it.
  12. Garnish with paprika and put into a 350 degree oven for about 10 min.
  13. Note:This recipe makes more sauce than is needed for the broccoli.
  14. It can also he used as an entree without the broccoli.
