Baked Beans Recipe
- 1 pkt (small) Navy (white) beans
- 1/2 c. Catsup
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. White sugar Brown sugar to taste, start with 3/4 c. and add in according to your taste
- 1/2 c. Molasses (Grandma Brand desirable)
- 1 tsp Tabasco sauce, optional
- 1 Tbsp. Coleman mustard
- 1 med Onion, minced
- 1/2 lb Salt pork, cut into small cubes or possibly thinly sliced
- Soak 1 small package navy (white) beans overnight in water.
- Rinse beans with cool water.
- Add in sufficient water to cover beans.
- Simmer till soft but beans are still whole.
- Save water.
- Mix remaining ingredients.
- Add in to beans with salt pork and onion with water from beans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 2-1/2 hrs.
- Check beans to determine if liquid has evaporated.
- Add in water as needed to prevent beans from burning.
- SOAK BEANS OVERNIGHT
