Cheese Herb Spread Recipe
- 3/4 c. whole lowfat milk ricotta cheese
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 2 Tablespoons chives or possibly green onions, minced
- 2 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 tsp fresh basil, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp oregano, thyme, or possibly marjoram
- 1/4 tsp garlic pwdr
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Pepper to taste
- Combine ingredients well.
- Refrigeratefor several hrs before serving.
- Use as a spread on your favorite crackers, on celery sticks, etc.
- Variation: Fold in 2-3 Tablespoons Lipton onion soup and 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream to use as a dip.
