Red Eye Gravy

  1. Pour coffee into the large skillet and cook over medium-high heat for 1 minute, scraping skillet to loosen any browned bits.
  2. Add broth and sugar.
  3. Bring sauce to simmer and cook for 34 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and reduced to about 1/4 cup.
  4. Add butter and whisk until emulsified, about an additional minute.
  5. Transfer to a small gravy boat.
