Grilled Vegetables with Eight-Spice Seasoning

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in processor.
  2. Blend 15 seconds.
  3. Transfer to small jar; cover tightly.
  4. (Spice mixture can be prepared 2 weeks ahead.
  5. Store in refrigerator.)
  6. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat) or preheat broiler.
  7. Cut all vegetables into 1/2-inch-thick slices.
  8. Brush with olive oil.
  9. Sprinkle generously with spice mixture.
  10. Grill until just cooked through, turning occasionally, about 8 minutes.
