Biscochos (Very Special Cookies) Recipe

  1. Beat Large eggs with a fork (reserve 4 tblsp.
  2. for later use).
  3. Add in sugar, beating well, then oil.
  4. Beat well.
  5. Add in flour and the baking pwdr, a little at a time, till it forms a smooth dough.
  6. Cut 2 1/2 inch circles of pastry, 1/4 inch thick, and shape with fingers to create a c. shaped base or possibly basket for large end of hard boiled egg.
  7. Roll strips 1/4 inch thick abd cut two strips long sufficient to cross over the top of the egg and attach to the base.
  8. Decorate the top of arch with a little extra pastry to depict something of the Purim story or possibly an animal or possibly flower.
  9. Use your imagination.
  10. Add in 1 teaspoon sugar to the reserved egg, brush on the pastry and sprinkle with sesame seed.
  11. Arrange all the pastry trimmed Large eggs on a cookie sheet and bake at 350F approximately 20 min or possibly till just barely golden brown.
