40 Clove Chicken Recipe

  1. Salt and pepper chicken and brown in oil about 10 min.
  2. Combine wine, vermouth and herbs.
  3. Add in celery and garlic and coat well.
  4. Transfer garlic and celery with slotted spoon to crockpot.
  5. Place chicken on top and sprinkle with lemon juice and peel.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW 6 hrs till chicken is no longer pink in center.
  7. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  8. Comments: Peeling 40 cloves of garlic is easy if after you break open heads you put cloves in boiling water for 30 seconds.
  9. Peel when cold.
