Almond Bark Recipe

  1. Combine sugar, lowfat milk, corn syrup, and salt in 2 qt heavy saucepan.
  2. Cook, stirring constantly till sugar dissolves and mix comes to a boil.
  3. Then cook without stirring to soft ball stage (234)..
  4. Remove from heat; add in butter, but don't stir.
  5. Let cold til lukewarm (110) Then add in vanilla.
  6. Beat til mix thickens and spread is creamy.
  7. Add in toasted almonds.
  8. Then spread about 1/2 inch thick on wax paper lined baking sheet.
  9. Cold, break into pcs.
  10. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
