Pot Pie Camp Rustown
- 1 whole Jenni-O Turkey Roast
- 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Your Choice Of Condensed "Cream Of" Soup
- 2 cups Frozen Mixed Vegetables
- 1 whole Pie Crust, Thawed
- (Ideally, you would cook the turkey roast the day before, and chop it up.
- Or, use chopped leftover turkey from Thanksgiving, perhaps.
- You can also substitute chicken.)
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together the cooked and chopped turkey or chicken, mixed veggies, and un-diluted soup.
- You can add a tablespoon or so of milk, if you like.
- Pour this into a buttered casserole dish, top with the crust, cut slits in the top to vent, and bake for 1 hour.
- (No need to use a bottom crust.)
- Note: the fun of this recipe is not only its ease, but that you can use whatever veggie/meat combo you like.
- Try it with chopped spinach or broccoli.
- Dont knock cream of soups!
- They definitely have their place!
