Salsa for Thurman's Salsa Burger
- 1 (#10) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (#10) can tomato sauce
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 12 jalapenos, chopped
- 1 cup diced green peppers
- 2 ounces seasoned salt
- 12 ounces crushed red pepper
- 2 ounces taco seasoning
- 12 ounces cayenne pepper
- 1 ounces granulated garlic
- 4 ounces cilantro
- 4 (12-ounce) beef patties
- Mozzarella, Texas toast, lettuce, sour cream, for garnish
- Mix all ingredients in a larger container.
- Chill.
- The Thurman Cafe uses the Salsa on a 12-ounce burger that has been fried and topped with 3 ounces of mozzarella cheese and served open-faced on Texas Toast on a bed of lettuce.
- Add a side of sour cream, and you have the Thurman Salsa Burger.
