Bamboo Rice Recipe

  1. Wash the rice.
  2. Soak in water for 1 hour.
  3. Drain.
  4. Wash the bamboo shoots, sliver, parboil, and drain.
  5. Shell the peas.
  6. Combine all the ingredients.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Cover, and reduce heat, and simmer for 15 min.
  9. Turn off heat, and allow to stand for 12 min.
  10. Don't peek, till the time is up.
  11. Uncover, then fluff with a wooden spatula.
  12. Serve.
