Our Family's Favorite Tomato Pasta with Tuna
- 200 grams Pasta
- 1 can Canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 stalk Celery
- 1 clove Chopped garlic
- 1 can Canned tuna
- 1 Soup stock cube
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 Basil leaves
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil (2 tablespoons).
- Add the chopped ingredients and stir fry.
- When the onion is translucent, add the canned tomatoes, soup stock cube, bay leaf and sugar, and simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
- When the sauce has reduced quite a bit, add the canned tuna, oil and all.
- Season with salt and pepper, simmer for another 2 minutes or so and the sauce is done.
- Boil the pasta following package instructions.
- Pour plenty of tomato sauce over the cooked pasta.
- Top with basil leaves to taste, and serve.
