Our Family's Favorite Tomato Pasta with Tuna

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil (2 tablespoons).
  2. Add the chopped ingredients and stir fry.
  3. When the onion is translucent, add the canned tomatoes, soup stock cube, bay leaf and sugar, and simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
  4. When the sauce has reduced quite a bit, add the canned tuna, oil and all.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, simmer for another 2 minutes or so and the sauce is done.
  6. Boil the pasta following package instructions.
  7. Pour plenty of tomato sauce over the cooked pasta.
  8. Top with basil leaves to taste, and serve.
