Rolled Oats Cookies

  1. In a small mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add water and vanilla; mix well,
  3. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Shape into two 1 1/2-inch rolls; wrap tightly in wax paper.
  6. Chill for two hours or until firm.
  7. Cut into 1/2-inch slices and place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheets.
  8. Bake at 375F for 12 minutes or until browned.
  9. Remove to wire racks to cool.
