Low-Fat Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In small saucepan, melt margarine and set aside to cool.
  4. In mixing bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  5. In separate bowl, beat egg and egg whites with an electric mixer.
  6. Whisk sour cream and vanilla into cooled margarine.
  7. Beat in the sugar.
  8. Thoroughly beat in egg mixture; pour over dry ingredients and beat well.
  9. Pour batter into pan.
  10. Bake until knife inserted in center is fairly clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. Cool before cutting.
