Cypress Street A.1. Fried Onion Burger
- Bacon-Peach Jam
- 1/2 cup OSCAR MAYER 18-22 Slice Count Raw Bacon Flat Pak, diced
- 1 tsp. garlic, minced
- 1-1/2 cups peach-flavored beer
- 1-1/2 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1/4 cup HEINZ Apple Cider Vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. A.1. Original Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)
- Fried Onions
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 4 each eggs, beaten
- 1 cup A.1. Original Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. steak seasoning
- 1 cup yellow onions, sliced thin
- 2 tsp. fresh thyme, chopped
- Assembly
- 16 each ground beef patties (5.33 oz.)
- 16 slices Swiss cheese slices (1 oz.)
- 16 slices beefsteak tomatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- 16 each onion sandwich rolls, split
- Bacon-Peach Jam: Cook bacon in saucepan until crisp.
- Add garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to simmer.
- Cook until reduced by half; cool.
- Puree until smooth.
- Set aside.
- Fried Onions: Mix flour, eggs, A.1.
- and steak seasoning until well blended.
- Coat onions in batter.
- Deep fry in 300 degrees F oil until crispy.
- Sprinkle with thyme and season with salt and pepper.
- For each burger: Season 1 patty with salt and pepper.
- Grill to desired doneness.
- Top with 1 cheese slice.
- Place 1 tomato slice on bottom half of roll; top with prepared burger and 1 Tbsp.
- Fried Onions.
- Spread 2 Tbsp.
- Bacon-Peach Jam onto top half of roll; place on burger.
