Apple Cranberry Compote (Crock Pot) Recipe
- 6 x cooking apples peeled, sliced
- 1 c. fresh cranberries
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp grated orange peel
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. port wine Low-fat lowfat sour cream
- Arrange apple slices and cranberries in crockpot.
- Sprinkle sugar over fruit.
- Add in orange peel, water and wine.
- Stir to mix ingredients.
- Cover, cook on LOW 4 to 6 hrs, till apples are tender.
- Serve hot fruits with the juices, topped with a dab of lowfat sour cream.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
