Slow cooker brisket and onions
- 3 1/2 lb brisket
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large onions sliced thickly
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 2 cup beef or chicken stock (broth)
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 salt and pepper
- Heat a deap pan over medium heat add olive oil and onions and cook for about 20mins on medium low stirring frequently till lightly caramelized.
- Pat dry brisket with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat skillet and sear brisket on all sides till nice and brown, remove from pan and pop in slow cooker.
- Crush garlic cloves on top of brisket and scatter onion around and on top of meat.
- Put skillet back on heat and heat up stock, Worcester sauce and soy sauce pour over brisket.
- Cook on low heat in slow cooker 6-8 hours till tender then remove from slow cooker wrap in foil and let rest for 20 mins.
- Slice and enjoy.
