Easy Roast Beef Cooked In A Frying Pan
- 380 to 400 grams Beef round (block)
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 100 ml Red wine (cooking sake is OK too)
- 100 ml Mirin
- 50 ml Soy sauce
- 50 ml Bottled yakiniku sauce (medium-hot)
- 2 tbsp Heavy cream
- 1 clove Grated garlic
- Mix the ingredients together in a measuring cup.
- Pat the beef dry and rub in some salt and pepper.
- Brown the meat in a frying pan.
- (Choose a block of beef that's rectangular in shape if at all possible.)
- Add the combined sauce to the frying pan and bring to a boil.
- Cook the beef for 2 minutes per side, for a total of 8 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, put a lid on and leave to cool.
- When the beef has cooled down, put it with the sauce into a plastic bag, take out the air and leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Turn the meat over occasionally while it rests, to allow the sauce to penetrate it evenly.
- Combine half of the liquid in the bag with the ingredients to make the sauce.
- I recommend dipping the meat in the sauce to eat it; it's delicious.
