Cheesy Sausages
- 2 sausages
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 ounce cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon pickle
- 1 slice bread
- little butter
- Prick the sausages with a fork.
- Grill them under a moderate heat for about 15 minutes.
- Make a slit in each sausage, lengthways, and wedge a slice of cheese in each slit.
- Cut the rind from the bacon, and spread with the chutney.
- Wrap the bacon round the sausages and pin securely with cocktail sticks or toothpicks (not plastic ones!).
- Return to the hot grill, and cook for 5 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melting.
- Toast the bread, spread with the butter and serve with the sausages.
