Beets In Mustard Sauce Recipe

  2. Scrub the beets lightly and boil them for 35 min till barely tender.
  3. Drain under cool water, peel, then slice into 5-mm pcs.

  5. Heat the butter and cook the shallots for 4 min over medium heat.

  7. Turn the heat down and stir in the flour.
  8. Cook for 2 min stirring often.
  9. 4.
  10. Add in the stock, mustard and cream.
  11. Cook for a few min till thick.
  12. 5.
  13. Combine with the beets.
  14. Cook for a few min till it is hot.
  15. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
  16. Serve with parsley sprinkled on top.
