Chocolate Cherry Pie Recipe
- 1 baked and cooled pie shell (9 inch)
- 15 ounce. can Eagle Brand condensed lowfat milk
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 8 maraschino cherries
- Put lowfat milk into 1 1/2 qt saucepan along with chocolate chips and salt.
- Cook and stir over medium heat till chocolate melts, about 3 min.
- Stir vigorously till mix begins to thicken.
- Add in almond extract and can of cherry pie filling.
- Pour mix into cooled pie shell.
- Chill 2-4 hrs.
- Garnish top with maraschino cherries.
- Serves 6-8.
