Easter Pineapple Torte Recipe

  1. Prepare crumb crust; set aside.
  2. Blend cream cheese with sugar and lemon peel.
  3. Drain juice from crushed pineapple and tidbits into saucepan.
  4. Sprinkle gelatin over juice.
  5. Place over low heat and stir till gelatin is dissolved.
  6. Add in crushed pineapple to cream cheese mix.
  7. Stir gelatin into cream cheese mix.
  8. Thoroughly mix in whipped cream.
  9. Pour over crust in 9 inch springform pan.
  10. Refrigerateat least 5 hrs or possibly overnight.
  11. Remove sides of pan.
  12. Garnish with pineapple tidbits, shaved chocolate or possibly fresh mint, if you like.
  13. 10 to 12 servings.
