Beef Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 large onion
- 1 Tbsp. steak sauce
- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 5 oz. macaroni
- 1/8 tsp. garlic
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom soup
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- Brown beef in a large saucepan until all red is gone.
- Add onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, tomatoes, catsup, steak sauce, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Mix cheese with cooked macaroni until melted.
- Combine with beef mixture. Spoon in mushroom soup.
- Pour mixture into casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until brown.
- Makes two 1-quart baking dishes.
- Can be made and frozen.
