One Bowl Kinako Scones

  1. Put the sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add the baking powder and salt.
  3. Add enough flour to bring the total weight to 200 g.
  4. Add the kinako and mix.
  5. Add the margarine and mix in a cutting motion with a rubber spatula or dough scraper (the dough will become crumbly.)
  6. Add the milk and mix some more.
  7. Add the honey, and bring the dough together.
  8. Preheat the oven to 200C.
  9. Roll out into a 1.5 - 2 cm thick circle, and cut into 6 - 8 pieces.
  10. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
  11. Keep an eye on them, and bake for longer if necessary.
  12. If it looks like they are going to burn, cover with foil and reduce the temperature.
  13. They're done.
  14. The aroma of kinako is amazing!
