Plum Pudding
- 14 cup melted shortening
- 34 cup molasses
- 2 beaten eggs
- 14 cup fruit juice
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 14 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 teaspoons cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon clove
- 1 12 cups raisins
- 1 12 cups currants
- 34 cup cu-up citron
- 1 14 cups mixed peel
- Mix shortening, molasses, beaten eggs, and fruit juice in one bowl.
- Sift dry ingredients in another bowl.
- Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients.
- Add fruit and mix thoroughly.
- Pour into a well greased 2-quart mold.
- Cover tightly.
- Steam 4-5 hours.
- Serve piping hot with hard sauce.
