Southern Pecan Crisps
- 12 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 13 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed for 30 minutes (half of a 17.3 oz. package)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Preheat oven to 400.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, butter, and pecans.
- Unfold pastry on a lightly floured surface; roll into a 15 x 12 inch rectangle; cut into twenty 3-inch squares.
- Press squares into bottoms of 3-inch muffin pan cups.
- Place 1 heaping teaspoon pecan mixture in center of each.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden.
- Remove from pans; cool on wire rack; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
