Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F Coat 2 eight inch square pans with butter, then with flour and set aside.
  2. Place the butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl, and beat until creamy.
  3. Add the vanilla and eggs, and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients together.
  6. Mix.
  7. Blend with the butter mixture.
  8. Divide the dough between two prepared pans and flatten the dough, pressing it to the edge with a rubber spatula.
  9. Bake until golden brown and set in the center, about 35 minutes, rotating pans halfway through cooking time.
  10. Place the pans on wire rack to cool.
  11. Once cool, remove from pan, and cut in half to form two 4x8 - inch rectangles.
  12. Cut each rectangle into six inch long bars.
