A Beginner's Macrobiotic Dish: Mizuna on Brown Rice

  1. Rinse the brown rice, and soak in water overnight.
  2. The following day, drain, then cook in a pressure cooker or other method of your choice.
  3. Rinse the mizuna greens, drain, then chop into 2 cm lengths.
  4. Fry the usu-age in a frying pan until crispy, then chop into 5 mm strips.
  5. Fill bowls with brown rice, top with the mizuna greens and usu-age from Step 2, then sprinkle on soy sauce and sesame seeds and serve.
