A Beginner's Macrobiotic Dish: Mizuna on Brown Rice
- 2 rice bowls' worth Brown rice
- 1/4 bunch Mizuna greens
- 1/3 Usuage
- 1 Soy sauce or ponzu
- 1 White sesame seeds
- Rinse the brown rice, and soak in water overnight.
- The following day, drain, then cook in a pressure cooker or other method of your choice.
- Rinse the mizuna greens, drain, then chop into 2 cm lengths.
- Fry the usu-age in a frying pan until crispy, then chop into 5 mm strips.
- Fill bowls with brown rice, top with the mizuna greens and usu-age from Step 2, then sprinkle on soy sauce and sesame seeds and serve.
