Chicken Ham Pinwheels Recipe
- 1/3 c. onion, minced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. grnd cooked ham
- 3 c. grnd, cooked chicken
- Warm chicken lowfat milk gravy
- 1 1/4 c. cool chicken lowfat milk gravy
- Baking pwdr biscuits, 1 pound dough
- 4 tbsp. melted butter
- Brown onions slightly in fat.
- Combine with ham, chicken and cool gravy and mix well.
- For the gravy use equal parts seasoned chicken stock and lowfat milk, thicken to desired consistency.
- Prepare biscuit dough.
- Roll 1/4" thick into rectangular sheet, about 10" wide.
- Spread meat mix on dough.
- Roll as for jelly roll.
- Cut in 1" slices.
- Place slices flat in greased shallow baking pans and brush with melted butter.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 15 min or possibly till done.
- Serve with warm chicken gravy.
- Mushrooms or possibly green pepper may be added to the gravy for extra flavor.
