7-Up Cake II

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Grease and flour three 8 inch cake pans.
  3. Mix first five ingredients together.
  4. Bake until cake tests done (30-35 minutes).
  5. Remove from oven and let rest for five minutes; turn out onto cooling rack to finish cooling.
  6. While the cake is baking, mix the first five topping ingredients together in a saucepan.
  7. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
  8. Cool and add the coconut.
  9. Spread topping between layers and on top of cake.
